The Hustle Doesn't Sleep

This morning a friend sent me a message on Facebook to ask me what I was up to today. I told her a breakdown of all the tasks I had planned out: working on my e-book, a few client orders, preparing some send outs for my travel clients, adding some finishing touches to a new product line I'm working on, and a little SEO in my shop. She immediately responds back with, "But it's Saturday?" If you're a creative entrepreneur, a small business owner, run a direct sales company, or just have goals you want to achieve, I know you can relate to me when I say, The Work Doesn't End Because It's The Weekend.

If you've got goals, you've got to hustle to make them happen. As much as we'd rather be curled up on the sofa watching Gilmore Girls, wondering why we can't have that perfect Rory Gilmore skin, we've got to put in the work to see the rewards. This idea frightens people, it makes them think we are robots who don't know what fun is. That we neglect our families (okay...I'm guilty of sometimes being consumed with work, and feeling like I neglect my family) BUT it's all about balance.

If you don't balance out your work life, family life, your friends, and your downtime, you will burn out. And this is a place I've been a few too many times, and burn out doesn't feel good. "All work and no play makes Jake a dull boy." Nothing destroys your productivity and hustle like forgetting to give yourself a break and enjoying the important things in your life.

Balance is different for everyone, but these are some tips that have worked for me, that I hope can work for you! Please download our complimentary workbook below.
