Dusty Rose Wedding | Ideas

Feathers and crystals and pearls OH MY! These elements all scream wedding to me. They also all go great with dusty rose! Dusty rose is such a light and elegant shade. It looks great with cream, ivory, and even your grey elements (a light grey or even a charcoal grey.) Here are some must have elements for all your dusty rose wedding needs!

How gorgeous is this dusty rose fascinator? This gorgeous piece of work was on the Etsy homepage this morning and was the inspiration behind this idea board! Even if dusty rose isn't your color SolBijou is definitely worth the visit! Jam packed with some of the most gorgeous bouquets, wristlets, sashes, and garters I've ever seen. There's a little bit of everything in this wonderful shop!

This gorgeous sash is also from SolBijou. It even features pops of magenta, which also go wonderfully with dusty rose!

Here is a gorgeous example of a dusty rose bridesmaids dress, which fits with our theme of rosette flowers! This floor length chiffon dress is available at Linda Brides and comes in a wide range of colors, including our dusty rose shade!

SpinSugar Stationery on Zazzle is home to some of the most elegant wedding designs on the net! Always the perfect amount of feminine elegance! I adore this vintage scrolls wedding invitation design! Another great use of the magenta with the dusty rose.

Another amazing Etsy shop is The Raggedy Rose. Gorgeous floral work! I absolutely fell in love with her bouquets. Soft, elegant, feminine, with just the right amount of sparkle!

What's a wedding without cake? I happened upon this gorgeous cake by Royal Cakes LA on Pinterest. This gorgeous cake is adorned with handmade sugar flowers. There's something so fancy about sugar flowers...which probably has a lot to do with the fact that you can eat them (something you just can't do with those real flowers.)

How wonderful would our cake look on a gorgeous stand by Cake It Up? Cake It Up specializes in designing you the couture cake stand of your dreams! There stands are just phenomenal.

Influenster | EBOOST

I received a pink lemonade EBOOST packet in my holiday vox box. This product really isn't me. I'm all for the vitamins, minerals, and super-nutrients it promotes. After reading over the blend: green tea leaf, green coffee, and stevia leaf, I expected this was going to surprise me. It really didn't. It really didn't do much of anything for me. The taste was a little underwhelming and I didn't feel anything, which I think is a good thing. I'd rather not feel like I'm crashing at the end of the day because I took a little "boost."

All in all, this product could possibly be much more for someone who actually takes energy supplements. It doesn't seem to have that many negative reviews, so I can definitely chalk it up to "it's not you, it's me!" It's just not my thing. P.S. Gluten and soy free :)

Influenster | NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine

This is easily my favorite product out of the Influenster Holiday Vox Box. Hands down. New York Color is a brand you see all the time and it's one of the brands you probably pass on because of the price. We've all been there. Splurge on the drug store brands for the low price and end up disappointed and out extra money because you have to run out and buy something new. NYC's Liquid Lipshine is not going to let you down!
The shade I received was Nude York City. Nude York City, get it? Isn't that adorable? I was less than thrilled because I'm fair skinned (pasty pale) with pink lips and nude colors usually aren't my thing. I think this color is now my go-to nude! It looks great, smells great, and my hair isn't getting stuck in it when the wind blows. This is a great, inexpensive product that every girl should have in her makeup kit!

Influenster | Kiss Nail Dress

This wasn't exactly my first rodeo when it comes to nail adhesives. In the past I've been pretty let down by them. I wasn't exactly over the moon to see a set in the Influenster Holiday Vox Box.

Since I'd never tried the Kiss Nail Dress, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. The instructions are very simple: select the size that fits your nail, apply near, not on your cuticle and smooth away from center, then fold down over edges and file away the excess. They even include a file for your use and explain that the black side is to file excess from the jeweled strips and the pink side is for fashion strips. Very simple and removal is far simpler, just peel off slowly.

Within a matter of minutes I was rocking my jeweled, filigree manicure (which the design isn't exactly me, but who's complaining?) I have to say that I've been pleasantly surprised with the durability of these nail adhesives. In the past it's been a matter of minutes with me and they are peeling off. I'm not saying these lasted days, but much longer than expected for someone as active as me!

Montagne Jeunesse Face Masque & Quaker Real Medleys Oatmeal+

I was so excited to see the holiday vox box at the post office, I was even more excited when I opened it up and saw some of the goodies inside. Face masks, oatmeal, a super cool looking hairbrush, lip gloss (what girl doesn't love lip gloss), an energy drink packet, and even more great goodies. I've literally been dying to dig in but the holidays set me back. This is like Christmas morning all over again!
I'm pretty sure one of my absolute favorite items was the Raspberry & Mango face masque from Montagne Jeunesse! The smell is absolutely amazing. The instructions are easy to follow and just plain simple to do (fail proof.) Just rinse your face, apply, kick back for 10-15 minutes, and then wash off and marvel at how great your skin feels (and then get compliments from your fiance on how great your face smells.)
I've always been a fan of Quaker's oatmeal, it's something I grew up on (and still keep on hand as an adult.) Oatmeal really isn't something that looks super impressive at first glance. It smelled great but it's hard to get excited about powdery oats. Add a little water and some heat to the situation and you've got something going on. This Cherry Pistachio Oatmeal is not your average oatmeal. It's an oatmeal to get excited about. The flavors work so well together. I could eat this every morning!

Nutrisystem | 1 Month Review

My first month on Nutrisystem is almost over and it's been an interesting month, to say the least. My first week on Nutrisystem went exactly how I expected it to. It was new, it was exciting, I was completely devoted (that's how I am with everything.) By the third week the novelty had started to fade and I caught myself slipping. I lost weight, I got bored, I GOT COMFORTABLE. I let myself believe it was okay to indulge and I took indulgence too far. Thankfully Meredith Bandy was kind enough to remind me that "it's a journey, not a race." At that moment it was exactly what I needed to hear. This program is developed so you don't have to do all the work. There's no counting, there is no weighing, this is supposed to be easier than anything else. I reminded myself that following the program is easier than thinking about what crap food I could get into. (Disclaimer: While trying to lose weight, or maintain your weight, avoid Instagram. Your friends are evil, evil people.)

Between December 6th and December 22nd I lost 6lbs. My BMI went from 24.2 to 23.2. That's following the program (and not following the program) and doing very little exercise. I know I could have done so much better. (I also credit the holidays for lowering my control. It's very hard to say no to my grandma's pralines...VERY HARD.) I know excuses don't change anything, but I'm sticking with it!

In the beginning I raved about how simple this program is, and I still feel exactly the same way. It's an incredible program. There's so much support and information available to you. You can find people just like you all over social media who are on their own Nutrisystem journey. I've seen people from Instagram to Twitter and they aren't celebrities, they aren't pro-atheletes, they are just people like you and me. They don't have personal trainers and they aren't undergoing major surgery. They are losing the pounds with the help of this program.

The Food: It's easy to think that this is all packaged food, it's all going to be lifeless and tasteless. I have to say that this isn't entirely true. The Nutrisystem Cinnamon Bun has to be one of the best Cinnamon Buns I've had in a long time. At the same time, I have to say the Cajun-Style Chicken & Sausage is one of the worst things I've ever tasted. I'm probably biased being from Louisiana but there are just certain expectations one has when you put the word "cajun" in the title. It was just way off. I'm sure if you don't live in the land of cajun cuisine this could be a great dish for you, but it was far off for me. Another favorite of mine was the coffee protein shake! It really does taste like frothy, coffee goodness! <>Dessert: My general conclusion on the dessert is, is that you CAN'T MESS UP DESSERT. I don't think there was one dessert that I didn't enjoy...go figure.

Let Nutrisystem help you meet those New Years Resolutions you made!
